TITAN Zlatna Panega welcomed students from the Sofia High School of Construction, Architecture, and Geodesy "Hristo Botev" to its plant
16.07.2024At the beginning of July, the TITAN Zlatna Panega team welcomed a group of 10th-grade students from the Sofia High School of Construction, Architecture, and Geodesy "Hristo Botev" to its plant. This visit was organized as part of the school's practical program and aimed to connect their classroom learning with real-world industry practices.
The first part of the day was filled with presentations. The plant manager, Milen Stanoev, gave an overview of the plant's activities. Then, Ekaterina Shilegarska, the Environment and Sustainability Manager, discussed TITAN's environmental protection and carbon footprint reduction initiatives. The Head of Development Activities, Iva Tsenova, shared exciting details about the latest innovations and technologies in the field of the company's products.
After the presentations, the students took a tour around the plant, stopping at essential production facilities. They also enjoyed the view of the plant from the quarry. During the tour, Alexander Popov, Head of the Cement Mills Department, and Petko Petkov, Head of Quarry and Crushing, explained the business's production process and specifics. The students asked many questions with great interest, gaining a deeper understanding of the industry.
"Everything about the visit to the Zlatna Panega plant was inspiring. The lectures were informative and engaging. During the tour, they also explained the business and the responsibilities of the different teams. It was very interesting," shared one of the participants, Yordan, 16.
"I really liked that they explained the work at the plant in great detail and showed us all the facilities up close. In my opinion, one of the most impressive things was the video about cement kiln. This was the best day of the practice so far!" added Alexander, 16.
The visit concluded with lunch, allowing the students to share their experiences and discuss their learning. They left inspired and eager for more knowledge about the construction materials industry.
"Our team was thrilled to welcome such an enthusiastic group of students. We hope this experience will positively influence their future academic and professional development. We look forward to encouraging more educational initiatives like this in the future," said Maria Pencheva, part of the Human Resources Department.
