Nearly 50 students, teachers, and volunteers took part in a joint effort to create school rose gardens in the villages of Brestnitsa and Zlatna Panega

TITAN Zlatna Panega has launched an inspiring new initiative that brings together love for nature, knowledge, and Bulgarian traditions under the motto “Blooming Together”. Between October 20 and 24, 2025, more than 30 students, over 10 teachers, volunteers from Brestnitsa and Zlatna Panega villages, and plant employees joined forces to create beautiful school rose gardens. The campaign aims to encourage children to learn and live in harmony with the world around them.

Personal contribution and responsibility

The campaign brought more beauty into the school environment and helped strengthen the connection between children and nature. Together, the participants designed colourful alleys in the yards of Primary School Hristo Botevin Brestnitsa and Primary School Lyuben Karavelovin Zlatna Panega. Each student personally planted their own rose and learned about the basic care it requires.

“We want children to understand that nature rewards care, attention, and responsibility. Each planted rose is a small symbol of community and hope. We are grateful to all teachers, students, and volunteers for their enthusiasm and the genuine joy with which they embraced this idea. Together, we are not just planting roses, we are planting values that will grow with every generation,” said Ivanina Chulkova, Environmental and Biodiversity Specialist at TITAN Zlatna Panega.

Rediscovering the beauty of Bulgaria

The day was also enriched with an educational module dedicated to the Bulgarian rose – one of the symbols of the nation’s culture. The children learned more about Bulgaria’s Rose Valley, rose oil distillation, and its many applications. At the end of the day, each student received a small gift – a rose essence – and had the chance to taste organic rose jam.

For TITAN Zlatna Panega, the rose is not only a symbol of beauty but also of the connection between industry and nature. For years, numerous rose bushes have been planted and maintained on the factory grounds, reminding everyone that sustainable development means harmony between people, business, and the environment.

Through the “Blooming Together” initiative, the schoolyards of Brestnitsa and Zlatna Panega have been transformed into living spaces for learning and inspiration. The rose gardens remind us that caring for nature and for the community go hand in hand. Each planted flower symbolises hope, love, and a sustainable future.
