TITAN employees conducted a training lesson on "Fly fishing"
12.07.2024In June, the Environmental Protection Department of TITAN Zlatna Panega organized an exciting educational initiative - a training lesson on "Fly fishing" in the village of Rumyantsevo. The event was held jointly with the representatives of the fishing club "Stari Vidri." They were joined by 15 pupils and two teachers from the "Vasil Levski" Primary School in the village of Oreshene, the "Lyuben Karavelov" Primary School in Zlatna Panega, and Hristo Botev Primary School in Rumyantsevo.
On behalf of the organizers from TITAN Zlatna Panega Ekaterina Shilegarska, Ivanina Chulkova, Albena Pophristova and Irena Petrova from the Environmental Protection Department took part. The representatives of the fishing club "Stari Vidri" shared their experience and knowledge, giving demonstrations and providing practical advice to all participants. The students and their teachers had the opportunity to get up close to nature and learn more about environmental protection.
The lesson provided detailed information about the Balkan trout, how it feeds and reproduces, how and why it is necessary to catch it ethically and fish-friendly, and why getting it back into the river is essential. “Fly fishing” is one of the most popular and environmentally friendly methods for fishing trout. It offers the opportunity to enjoy fishing and the surrounding nature fully.” -shared Ivanina Chulkova from TITAN Zlatna Panega. At the end of the lesson, the trout caught were released back into the river.
