National Awards for Occupational Health and Safety were given out on December 20 at a formal ceremony at Hotel Imperial in Plovdiv.

The event was attended by the Bulgarian Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Mr. Hasan Ademov, his deputies, Mrs. Svetlana Dyankova and Mr. Lazar Lazarov, the Executive Director of the General Labour Inspectorate Executive Agency, Mrs. Rumyana Mihaylova, and the Agency’s regional directors.

By tradition, the initiative was supported by the Occupational Health and Safety Centre Foundation and Bultex 99 EOOD - Plovdiv.

For the first time this year, there was a Special Award for Comprehensive and Sustainable OH&S Policy. The award was conferred on TITAN Bulgaria and received by Mr. Konstantinos Nikolaou, Director of the Zlatna Panega Cement plant.
