TITAN Zlatna Panega receives an award for its long-standing contribution to the Bulgarian mineral resources industry

The award was presented on the occasion of the company’s 20th anniversary in Bulgaria during the official celebration of Miners’ Day.

On August 18 – Miners’ Day – TITAN Zlatna Panega received an award for its contribution to the Bulgarian mineral resources industry on the occasion of its 20th anniversary in Bulgaria.

Those working in the mineral resources industry once again celebrated their professional holiday with a formal ceremony. Hundreds of representatives from the sector, local authorities, industry organisations, various institutions, and members of the academic and scientific community attended the event.

“I am pleased to accept this award on behalf of the entire team of TITAN Zlatna Panega. Twenty years is not just a number – it represents countless hours of work and dedication. This award is for all our colleagues, from engineers and operators to everyone who contributes to improving safety, innovation, and quality. We are not a typical mining company, but mining is at the heart of our business. We accept this award with great pride, responsibility, and motivation to continue developing the industry and investing in innovation in the future,” said Milen Stanoev, Plant Director of TITAN Zlatna Panega.

In recent years, TITAN Zlatna Panega – part of the TITAN Group – has impressed with implementing environmental protection, education, and innovation projects. In 2022, TITAN Zlatna Panega AD replaced nearly 50% of the fuels used in its production with alternative fuels. The company has set a goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions significantly by 2030 and is developing a detailed decarbonisation plan covering all its processes – from production to trade. In 2024, the company took another critical step toward carbon neutrality by commissioning a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 5 MWp. This plant covers about 15% of the company’s energy needs. It reduces its indirect CO2 emissions by about 3,000 tons per year, making the factory the first in Bulgaria with its own source of green energy.

The company also demonstrates a commitment to education and its development in Bulgaria. It has actively supported NGOs and schools working for modern education for years. The company regularly organises and supports initiatives to provide better opportunities for the development of the educational environment. An example is the open lessons organised for children and their teachers from regional schools.
