TITAN Bulgaria participated in the 5^th season of Leader’s Academy – an initiative hosted by the youth organization Hobelix and supported by the commitment of the most successful companies in the construction industry in Bulgaria. The Academy is a 2-months long simulator of working environment which enables 20 preliminarily selected students and recent graduated architects, structural and urban planning engineers to get in contact and gain knowledge from managers of the partnering companies.

TITAN was represented by eng. Milen Stanoev - the Plant Manager of Zlatna Panega Cement Plant.

Stepping on his professional experience, Mr. Stanoev led a presentation and interactive exercises on effective communication, conflict management and teamwork – roles in the team and stages in the development of a team. He provided examples from the day-to-day work on improving communication effectiveness, enhancing better teamwork and forming successful teams. In the middle of the session all participants were separated into 5 teams and each team had to define the basis of their teamwork and present it – strengths, improvement areas, values, functions, individual and group aims as well as the rules of the teamwork.

At the end of the Academy, TITAN Bulgaria was awarded a diploma for social-educational responsibility towards students and young professionals in the construction industry in Bulgaria and Mr. Stanoev was personally awarded a diploma for the category “The Leader who motivated me the most to stay and develop in Bulgaria”. The feedback received from the participants was strongly positive and emphasized on the beneficial practical examples, provided by TITAN.

The goal of TITAN Bulgaria participation was to observe the work of the students, support their professional development and let them get an insight for TITAN as an employer. They were also invited in the plant where a half-day visit was held and additional information was presented by professionals in different areas – both related to production and to good practices in attending an interview.

This was the third event, where TITAN and Hobelix collaborate successfully after the Season 1 in July 2017 and the Leader’s Summer Academy in September 2020.
