TITAN Bulgaria became a sponsor of the Architectural Heritage Days festival’s first edition, held on 3 and 4 February 2018 in the cultural film center “Dom na kinoto” in Sofia. The Architectural Heritage Organization by the Association of Architects in Bulgaria and the Art Network for Cultural Heritage organized the festival as part of the events, taking place all around Europe throughout the European Year of Cultural Heritage.

Bulgarian and foreign architects presented the main theme of the festival – Cultural heritage preservation, through a variety of lectures. The “Tea with Architects” initiative, held in both days of the festival, gave students and citizens attending the event the opportunity to meet experts and discuss with them the architectural values and their preservation.

On 3 February, the visitors watched three movies in the movie panel “Impressions from Northwest Bulgaria” – “The Czech Village of Voivodovo”, “Cambridge” and “Pustinyatzi”. The movies reveal the authentic life of the people living in three small villages situated almost on the Danube River.

The highlight of the festival was the announcing of the awards winners in the “Fifth National Competition for Diploma Works in the Field of Architectural Heritage Preservation”. The competition gave students the opportunity to develop, under the guidance of specialists in the field, their own projects offering solutions and concepts for the preservation and adaptation of sites of high social importance.
