The Bulgarian Network of the United Nations Global Compact presented a proposal for the National Action plan of Bulgaria for the European Pact4Youth on a special event held on 30 January 2018. The European Pact for Youth, initiated by the biggest European business network bringing together the responsible businesses - CSR Europe, is a mutual engagement of the business and the EU leaders. The Pact unites representatives of the business, education and youth in working for better youth inclusion and employment in Europe by creating and consolidating business-education partnerships and providing new internships and opportunities for a first job.

Mr. Ognyan Trayanov, chairman of the Bulgarian Network of the United Nations, introduced the Bulgarian National Action plan, which is one of the 24 national plans adopted, and added that the document is not a final version but an invitation to the stakeholders for partnership and future collaboration. The special guest lector Jacques Spelkens, a member of Board of Directors of CSR Europe, welcomed the participants and spoke about the challenges of the Pact4Youth in Europe. His speech was followed by a discussion on the realization of the Pact in Bulgaria, in which the stakeholders – companies, schools, universities, young people and NGOs shared their point of view. Experts from various companies also took part in the discussion.

The National Action plan of Bulgaria, aiming to promote and improve the partnerships between business and educational institution for achieving the Pact goals focuses on 6 priorities of change:

• Enhance skills
• Promote the VET/ Apprenticeships as the equal choice
• Inspire to explore a myriad of work opportunities and education paths)
• Help companies in attracting talents
• Support schools, teachers and directors
• Meet the needs of the future

In November 2015, the TITAN Group, along with 50 other leading European companies, signed the European Pact for Youth. As a part of the TITAN family, TITAN Bulgaria follows the commitment through creating and strengthening partnerships in order to provide better employment opportunities and overcome the problem of lack of skills among the youth.
